What does this mean? That a woman has it in ther genes to put up with verbal abuse? I think the words “cope” and “sharp tounge” are poor choices of words to get the point across..
And the point of this is? I think this fortitude could use a bit of explaining. I can choose to walk away from anyone who is being verbally abusive, rather than reciprocating. But no one should have to “cope” with anyones nastiness. Ever.

Long before abuse arises, couples bark at one another out of irritation, frustration, hot temper. She’s better prepared by nature to take it than is he. Doesn’t mean he’s more right, just that she’s more adjusted to maintaining the relationship. AGM
