At #846 Her Highness Jacqueline asked for explanation about “When women think and act like men, they over eat.”
Remember WADWMUFGAO? That is, we all do what makes us feel good about ourselves.
It’s easy for a woman to turn toward food to feel good. Over eating comes when she continually thinks about her dislike, disappointment, and frustration with herself. For example, ‘I’m not good enough, and good enough ain’t even good enough anyway’. She devalues herself and forms thinking habits to compensate.
Negative feelings about herself push a woman to please herself, and she snacks, drinks cokes, craves sugar, pigs out, or worse. But the start is nothing compared to the habit. Continual negative thinking about herself pushes her into habitual over eating
Negative thinking revolves around her opinions of herself. I cite three measures of dislike, disappointment, and frustration. The greater the negative outweighs contrary positive feelings, the greater a woman pushes herself toward over eating and other excesses.
1. She dislikes herself aka low self-esteem, and she searches for ways to feel better. If her dislike revolves around her nature as female, she likely tries to be more like men in the hope and perhaps realization she will like herself better. This eases whatever pressure her female nature says about caution.
2. She dislikes the picture she has of herself aka poor self-image. So, she searches for ways to improve how others perceive her. If disappointment revolves around her nature as female, she tends to copy males to relieve it.
3. She fills her mind with negative self-talk, demeans herself to herself. She can’t find the ways to uplift who and what she is, so she seeks external uplifts. If she copies the masculine enjoyment of accomplishment and applies it to eating, guess what happens.
We all seek to repeat success, so the more she feels successful thinking and acting like or similar to males, the more likely she over eats. Men do enjoy over eating, don’t they, as if it’s a great accomplishment?
Tomorrow’s posting looks at female under eating.
