The Passing of Sir Guy.

My apologies to all the friends of WWNH for not being more punctual about the news of my father. He is in a better place with his wife and love of his life, Grace, and the hero of my life, my brother Jay.

It’s been a difficult few weeks and I’ve been pulled in many directions. I wish I had more time to take away from my businesses, but I just can’t right now.

I’m sure my father would love to see his legacy continue. Perhaps a steering/executive committee could be formed by you folks to discuss ways the mantra could continue and what roles might be needed. I would be more than happy to help facilitate that.

As it stands now, I will make sure all his work stays intact right where it is. Be assured this blog will not go away. Feel free to message me at s.allen.dean@gmail.com with any ideas.

And God bless all of you for your kind words, admiration, prayers, and love for Sir Guy and our family.

In sorrow,

Sir Guy, Jr.

    Sir Guy Jr.,

Thank you for sharing your dad with us for so many years – he has left a big gap and our hearts grieve with you.

We have set up a WWNH Alumni Forum so we can keep going until you decide where you want to take WWNH in the next phase. The forum description is “What Women Never Hear – Celebrating the Life and Work of Bill Clark Dean.”

We will keep the new forum afloat as best we can until you issue further instructions. There is a dedicated board on it called Qui Plantavit Curabit – the description reads, “Discuss how Sir Guy’s work can best be preserved and promoted to a larger audience.” All ideas are welcome in this regard – perhaps the board can feed into your idea about a steering/executive committee.

Everyone is most welcome to join the WWNH Alumni Forum to continue with WWNH-related discussion. The address is wwnh.freeforums.net

I’m so blessed to have found this blog and group a few years back. Mr. GUY was a light to this world. Blessings to you and your family.

  8. Dear Sir Guy Jr.,

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Knowing that your dear father is in a better place does not always ease the ache in your heart, nor ours collectively. “When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.” -Kahlil Gibran. This blog, filled with your Father’s generosity, genuine caring, and poignant advice, has been a blessing that many of us are better for. Thank you for keeping this blog in place, and for keeping us in your thoughts, during such a personal and difficult moment.

    With warm regards-

  9. I’m sorry to hear this sad news. Sir Guy was such a treasure, a real gentleman. Thank you for sharing your dad with us. He will be greatly missed.

I so enjoyed reading your dad’s posts. He had a true respect for women and wanted us to understand how important it is for a man to show himself worthy of our time and attention. He also explained how to maintain love and peace for a lifetime in a marriage. Hugs to you and your family. And thank you so much for leaving his blog for us to enjoy. There’s still so much to read and learn.

  12. I’m happy for him and sad for the rest of us. We all benefited from his wisdom so much… I’m looking forward to thanking him in person someday 🙂
Maybe a recirculation of some of his best posts?

    Hi all,
We are discussing the short story “Cat Person” by Kristen Roupenian on the WWNH Alumni forum. We would love to hear from all of you.

  19. Sharon

Blessings on you all, as this site continues and as you carry Sir Guy’s legacy with discussions, teaching, and encouragement to women. Only God knows how vast his influence has been through his writings, both here and privately, and in the love he has shown for others. I only regret that I never got to meet him in person! A private note is sent to his son.

Guy Jr, I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Your father was a real gem. Having posted and lurked for several years now, I never knew either of my grandfathers, but he always reminded me of what I would hope a grandfather would be like.

I think if the blog could be converted into book format, that would be great.

  25. Cinnamon

For any readers who aren’t aware, Guy Jr. (Sir Guy’s son Allen Dean) passed away shortly after Sir Guy himself. This is why the WWNH blog is not being maintained.

    Lady Cinnamon,
Thank you for letting us know. It makes me even sadder. I miss Sir Guy and his wise advice. I’m so surprised to find this out about Guy Jr.

I had visited the forum and then lost the address. Thought it didn’t exist anymore. I think it was under a different name before. Anyway, I’ll go there from time to time.

As for this blog, is Lauren going to keep it? Just curious.

  27. Sir Guy, Jr., I’m so very sorry to hear this news. Your father was a giant of a man, and you were fortunate to be his son. What a huge help he was to me. I still struggle with the 30-minute mirror time, but it’s a goal for this year. I’d also love to see his legacy continue, but finding a writer such as Sir Guy would be a challenge. I’ll keep looking back here — it’s been a while since I have.

      Hello sharonwithmaryandmartha,
Guy Jr. passed away as well. One of the comments above says that he passed away not long after Sir Guy.

I have just learned about Guy Jr’s passing today and my heart is so heavy! Incidentally I thought about Sir Guy and Lady Grace yesterday and I smiled to myself. I started visiting this blog in 2014 and it completely changed my life – befriending and later on meeting Sir Guy is one of the highlights of my journey to date. Does anyone know how Guy Jr’s brothers are doing?

      • Ah!!! That caught me off guard. What a tragedy death is. I’m without words. Thank you Magnolia for your correction, though the news is hard to take. 😔💔

        • Magnolia

No problem. I get sad when I think about Sir Guy and Guy Jr. but I know they are in a better place. I miss Sir Guy’s wise counsel.

Pretty Beans, I don’t know about their remaining brother. I do wonder how Lauren is doing and what she’s up to. It would be great to know, but she’s very private, so I don’t think we’ll ever know.

Also, it would be awesome for the ladies who were part of this community to be able to stay in touch. Sir Guy and this blog were a big part of our lives and many of us were here reading and commenting regularly. Sir Guy left an amazing legacy with WWNH. He was an amazing mentor and had a big influence in my life and I’m sure in yours as well, ladies.

  28. I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad’s death. He was such an inspiration to all of his readers and will be sorely missed. I will pray for the repose of his soul. May he Rest In Peace knowing his ministry will continue through his loving son. Thank you for sustaining his inexhaustible work to repair the damage that feminism has done to courtship and marriage.

    • Refreshing to know Sir Guy has a wise daughter. Thank you for this note. I’m so sorry for your loss. My wonderful dad passed away in 1917. It’s so hard. I do understa.d ❤

      • I just went back to read all the comments here and discovered that BOTH Sir Guy AND his son, Sir Guy, Jr. DIED within months of each other! How tragic for their families! May they rest in the arms of the Lord and may their families be granted peace, knowing they are both happily in Heaven together.
